GAP Season 8: Join an Onchain Guild, Unlock Epic Quests

Guild Advancement Program (GAP) Season 8 is all set to take off, building on its past innovations and introducing new features designed to deepen community engagement and onchain collaboration. The season will include all the upgrades introduced over the last few seasons, such as Premium Quests and AI bounties from Season 6 as well as the Rewards Center and Stake House from Season 7.

In addition to a refreshed roster of games and quests for the community, YGG is releasing one massive update running parallel to the upcoming launch of Onchain Guilds. A select group of guilds will now be able to create an Onchain Guild through the YGG platform and trial its features for the first time through GAP Season 8.

With the season going live right before the YGG Play Summit kicks into gear in Manila, the hype for the future of guilds and questing is sky-high.

Conquer the Field in Anichess, Arena of Faith, Parallel, and More

GAP’s latest season will feature 45 quests in 11 of the most exciting and hyped-up games in web3. Several top hits from last season are returning to the program, including Arena of Faith, GensoKishi Online, Mystery Society, Parallel, and Pixels. New entrants to the program include Anichess, Blast Royale, Champions Tactics, Immortal Rising 2, MapleStory Universe, and Space Nation.

The upcoming YGG Play Summit will host massive in-person tournaments for three of the games featured in GAP Season 8. Attendees will witness the highest levels of play in Anichess, Arena of Faith, and Parallel as the best players compete for the Summit’s combined US$130,000 tournament prize pool.

Fresh Opportunities for Bounty Seekers

GAP Season 8 continues to offer the community a diverse mix of task-oriented quests to prove their prowess. More AI bounties are in store for Future of Work participants, with Beginner Quests featuring AI data labeling platforms Sapien and Navigate rejoining the lineup. A new quest featuring the DePIN platform Copute is slated for inclusion as well.

The YGG Game Testers Program remains a mainstay in GAP’s bounty quest roster. For the past several seasons, the most ardent web3 gaming fans have had the unique opportunity to get their hands on the industry’s latest and greatest games before anyone else, all while building their web3 reputation and earning YGG points.

Guild partners from YGG’s global network, including KGeN, W3GG and OLA GG, will also invite the broader community to explore their unique ecosystems in Season 8. Also under the YGG Regions & Partners category, bounties are on offer with Game7 returning to GAP and Basement.fun making their debut.

Quests for the First Wave of Onchain Guilds

During GAP Season 8, YGG will give a select group of guild leaders access to create an Onchain Guild. Establishing their guild through the YGG Guild Protocol will enable guild leaders to manage and record their membership onchain. They will also have their own treasury wallet to distribute rewards earned from group questing. After the season, any unit looking to organize in web3 will be able to form an Onchain Guild.

Through guild quests and bounties, members of Onchain Guilds can build their collective identity and web3 reputation while they collaborate toward a common goal. The achievements an Onchain Guild earns throughout GAP Season 8 and beyond will establish their unique competencies and skills, which can unlock more opportunities for them down the line.

Soon, guilds will also be more deeply integrated into GAP to enhance in-game group quests with streamlined, automated features.

Boost Rewards with the Stake House

The Rewards Center awaits new and returning GAP questers as they rack up YGG points throughout the season. Active questers from Season 7 can pick up where they left off and work on finishing their Rewards Map.

Additionally, questers can continue to stake their YGG tokens through The Stake House and gain a multiplier to boost their GAP rewards. All progress through YGG’s active staking platform will carry over this season for returning questers.
